À l'âge d'environ sept ans j'ai décidé que je voulais être dessinatrice de mode.  Mais au préalable, j'avais en tête de devenir dessinatrice de souliers... On voit ici la diversité de mes choix de carrières!

Aujourd'hui, 25 ans et toutes mes dents, je me suis aventurée chez un grossiste de cuir dans le coin de Chabanel pour un projet de costume, et je suis retombée en enfance.  Je dois dire que le désir de devenir cordonnier m'à effleuré l'esprit.  

Les Cuirs Boilards est une entreprise qui importe des peaux de tous genres. Les prix sont incroyables et les peaux d'agneaux sont tellement douces que je m'en ferais des draps.

Situé dans la cour d'un stationnement, au 9483 rue de L'Esplanade coin Chabanel.  Je vous  conseille fortement cet endroit pour vos futurs projets de couture. 

Voici Nicolas, cordonnier d'expérience, qui travaille le cuir depuis toujours et qui m'a guidé parmi ce vaste étendu de peaux.

I'm very happy to share with you what my mother sent me for  my birthday, a 1962 Holy Family print.  She lives in Victoria British-Colombia and whenever she finds religious objets or prints she sends them to me.  I don't know why I like them so much, it might be the amazing colours or maybe it's the story that carries each print.  
Anyway, my work is being watched over, we can keep calm and carry on.

Lechat is moving up the block

For the last year i've been working from my home in Montreal, it is wonderful to already be at work when you wake up and drink your irish cream coffee in your pyjamas while checking your e-mail.  So I decided to go slow, I found a place two streets from my place.  It is 4 times as big so I can make 4 times more clothing and buy 8 times more fabric! I'll post some pictures of the new place when i'm settled in, but for now, here are pictures of the space in which I create.
